Starwood- Copperhouse, Bethel, Me
A recent project in Bethel, Maine. This is a hybrid, part timberframe, part stick frame. The central living areas were timberframed while the bedroom and bath areas were conventionally framed. Take a VIRTUAL TOUR of this house by clicking on the link to the left.
Although being a small frame, there were many challenging elements. These included a large valley system that needed tie in properly to the stick frame roof and also a "prow" gable end adding more compound angles. We used hemlock timbers as requested by the client and fortunately we recieved a quality load from our local mill.
