Computer generated curves
Using a CAD program a couple of options were presented. The upper shows a curved brace similar to a ships knee This seemed too heavy. The lower concept with the brace curved on both sides appeared to lighten up the framing. As the radius of the curves for the brace and the girt are different they do flow well into each other well creating an interesting ellipse
