Finished interiors

Here is a sampling of finished interiors.

DiCocoa's Market awning

Our most recent project in Bethel, Maine. A wrap-around roof to help shield the market interior from excessive sun. .

Starwood- Copperhouse, Bethel, Me

A recent project in Bethel, Maine. This is a hybrid, part timberframe, part stick frame. The central living areas were timberframed while the bedroom and bath areas were conventionally framed. Take a VIRTUAL TOUR of this house by clicking on the link to the left.

Screen House

A former 8 x 10 exibit frame becomes a screen house with translucent roofing.

Wildlife center

A new home for a New Hamshire wildlife education center. An impressive building totally off the grid relying on solar power.

Octagonal music room

Inspired by a church in England known for its superior acoustics.

Cape Style

Timberframe kitchen, dining, living areas. Conventional stick framing for the rest of the house. These "hybrid" frames are becoming more common.

Kline

A colloborative project between Specialty Timberworks and Garland Mill Timberframes of Lancaster, NH. More photos to come......

Montana octagon addition

A favorite project was this addition back in 1994. Lots of head scratching trying to remember how to use those trigonometry formulas

Barn-House

A new barn frame designed after various local old frames in the Brownfield, Maine area. Half of the interior was heated space, half left as a traditional barn space. During the warm periods, large doors between the two areas could be opened to enjoy both.

Classy Tool Shed

A campground needed a tool shed, but the owner wasn't going to settle for the pre-made options. He provided some basic plans and we provided a simple white pine frame. A talented local carpenter finished it off with some classic New England details. We love the curved trim detailing. Very classy!

Gambrel barn-house

A large gambrel style frame on the northern side of Mt. Washington. Spectacular views.

June raising

Here is a preliminary frame plan for a custom timber roof system to be built in the spring of '08
